Mission

• To lead in reducing the burden of cancer among Filipinos by providing effective, high-quality and accessible means of cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
• To serve as resource center for cancer research and training that is relevant to national needs and conditions.
• To promote a unique culture of patient-centered service, multidisciplinary collegiality, scholarliness and research.

Goals

• Integrate and coordinate all specialties and processes in The Medical City associated with the diagnosis, management and prevention of cancer.
• Develop a system for compassionate and efficient cancer management through multidisciplinary specialty units.
• Acquire and maintain the appropriate state-of-the-art facilities for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
• Institute a quality improvement program that provides the mechanism for continually evaluating and improving patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive agenda for cancer research.
  Rationalize and lessen over-all costs to patients through an evaluation of cost-benefit interactions among various diagnostic, treatment and follow-up modalities; development of innovative strategies to package cost-effective cancer care.
• Formulate a program for staff development and training in the various disciplines of Oncology.
• Promote The Medical City as a national and international leader in cancer acre and develop linkages with established foreign cancer centers.
