Center For Behavioral Health

Mental Health has previously been in the background of overall health. Through the years, the World Health Organization (WHO) included mental health in its definition of health to emphasize its importance. The magnitude of the consequences of undetected and untreated mental illness has been evident in the number of suicide cases and increasing health costs.

Over the years, mental health has rightfully gained prominence within the broader spectrum of overall well-being, recognized by esteemed global organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO). Understanding the grave consequences of untreated mental illness, evident in the alarming rise in suicide rates and escalating healthcare costs, The Medical City is actively contributing to addressing the growing mental health concerns in the Philippines.

As the sole private institution in the country offering comprehensive psychiatry subspecialties, The Medical City's Department of Psychiatry has launched the Center for Behavioral Health. This significant initiative underscores their unwavering commitment to providing accessible and specialized mental health services in the Philippines, aligning seamlessly with national efforts to prioritize and safeguard mental well-being.

The Center for Behavioral Health offers a wide range of services from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation, catering to various mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse. The team of experts at the center is composed of qualified psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals who work together to provide holistic care to patients.
