Dr. Augusto P. Sarmiento †

Chairman Emeritus
Dr. Augusto P. Sarmiento was Chairman Emeritus of The Medical City’s Board of Directors; Proser Health Services Inc.; Medical Arts Tower, Inc.; PSI Healthcare Development Services Corp.; Guam Healthcare Development, Inc.; The Medical City Clark, Inc.; and Philippine Foundation for Health & Development Inc. Aside from being a Consultant-in-Surgery for The Medical City, Dr. Sarmiento was one of the top surgical oncologists in the Philippines, specializing in head and neck surgery.

Mr. Jose Xavier B. Gonzales

Chairman of the Board
Jose Xavier B. Gonzales serves as Chairman of The Medical City’s Board of Directors. He is also the Chairman and CEO of PSI Healthcare Development Services, Corp. He serves as Director of Proser Health Services, Inc.; The Medical City Clark, Inc.; Guam Healthcare Development, Inc.; The Medical City South Luzon; and Creative Hotel Concepts Inc. He is also Chairman and President of Felicitas Antoinette, Inc.; Chairman of The Nutriganics Farm, Incorporated; and President of Universal Storefront Services Corporation and Fountel Corp. Mr. Gonzales holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines where he graduated magna cum laude.

Dr. Eugenio Jose F. Ramos

President and CEO
Dr. Eugenio Jose F. Ramos is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Medical City. He is also President of PSI Healthcare Development Services Corp.; Director of Medical Arts Tower, Inc., Proser Health Services Inc., The Medical City Clark, Inc., Guam Healthcare Development, Inc., The Medical City Pangasinan, Inc., and The Medical City South Luzon. He is the former President of the Philippine College of Physicians. Dr. Ramos earned his medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1980. He took up his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Medical City (1980-1984), and his fellowship training in adult cardiology at the UP-PGH (1985-1986). He is a diplomate and fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) and of the Philippine College of Cardiology. He was awarded Distinguished Fellow of the PCP in 1999. Dr. Ramos obtained his MBA in Health at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB) in 2008 (gold medalist). Dr. Ramos became PCP’s 45th president in 2009.

Dr. Ruben G. Kasala

Treasurer
Dr. Ruben Kasala is the Treasurer Director of The Medical City and PSI Healthcare International Staffing, Inc. He also served as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine of The Medical City. He was the Training Officer of the Quirino Memorial Medical Center, and assistant Professor in the UERMMMC College of Medicine Department of Medicine.

Dr. Rafael S. Claudio

Dr. Rafael S. Claudio is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors and also TMC's Chief Medical Officer. He is also the President of Akbay Ginhawa Foundation, Inc. He is the former Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and former head of the TMC Cancer Center (now Augusto P. Sarmiento Cancer Institute).

Mr. Gerard Martin C. Garcia

Mr. Gerard Martin C. Garcia is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors. He is the CFO of Fountel Corporation; Chairman and CEO of Box Terrapin Holdings, Inc.; President and CEO of ApolloPlus Distribution Inc.; Founder of Bilistics Procurement and Supply Management, Inc.; Vice President of HomeCredit Mutual Building and Loan Association; SVP/GM of USSC Finance Corporation; Treasurer of Cordillera Hydro Electric Company, NeuralMechanics Inc. and Digenomix Inc.; Director of Guam Regional Medical Center, Box Terrapin Holdings, Inc., ApolloPlus Distribution Inc., Procurement and Supply Management, Inc., Cordillera Hydro Electric Company, NeuralMechanics Inc. and Digenomix Inc., and HomeCredit Mutual Building and Loan Association.

Mr. Ramon Ricardo V. Gutierrez

Mr. Ramon Ricardo V. Gutierrez is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors. He is also the Chairman and CEO of Creative Hotel Concepts, Inc. and 1771 Group of Restaurants namely: Chateau 1771, Sidebar, Sentro 1771, Café 1771 and Flatiron, and Malate Pensionne, Inc.. He is also the Director of Beyond Borders Consulting Group, Inc.

Mr. Lester Loi Jin-Kern

Mr. Lester Loi Jin-Kern is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors. He is also the Vice President of Clermont Capital. He is a former Consultant of Bain & Company and former Equity Division Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Rusell Low Tzeh Shyian

Mr. Rusell Low Tzeh Shyian is a member of the Board of Directors of The Medical City. He is also the Director of Clermont Group and Head of Freedom to Create and Cassia Foundation. He is a former judicial officer in Singapore.

Mr. Thomas J. Smith Jr.

Mr. Thomas J. Smith Jr. is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors since 2013. He is also President and Managing Director of Lombard, an investment management firm based in San Francisco and Bangkok. He led the formation of the Thailand Equity Fund and serves on Lombard portfolio company boards in Vietnam, Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Eoin B. Saadien

Mr. Eoin B. Saadien is a member of The Medical City’s Board of Directors. He is also a Director of Transcend Global Pte Ltd. He is the former Director of Cliveden Trading AG,; former President / Managing Director of Finance of GoviEx Gold Inc.; former Executive Director of Morgan Stanley & Co. Limited, London; and former Financial Analyst of Royal International Investments Ltd.

Mr. Wai Keong Soh

Mr. Wai Keong Soh is a Business Development Associate of Clermont Group. He is also the former Manager of Corporate Development & Strategy, Auric Pacific Group; and former Assistant Manager of Corporate Finance, KPMG.

Dr. Tan has been allowed by the University of the Philippines to engage in limited practice of profession or involvement in outside activities for the period AY 2018-2019 as approved by its Executive Vice-President, Mr. Teodoro J. Atty. Joel Bodegon is Professional Services, Inc.’s Corporate Secretary. He is also Managing Partner of Bodegon Estorninos Guerzon & Gozos, Independent Director of Starmalls, Inc., and Corp. Secretary of Wilhelmsen Ship Services, Inc., SystemoTechnika, Inc. and DBSoft Philippines, Inc. Atty. Bodegon is also a Professor in Lyceum Philippine University, College of Law, Makati.

Atty. Linus V. Madamba

Atty. Linus V. Madamba is Professional Services Inc.’s Assistant Corporate Secretary. He is a Partner with Bodegon Estorninos Guerzon & Gozos Law Offices. He is involved in commercial, civil and criminal litigation, and special projects. He is likewise experienced in intra-corporate disputes and corporate rehabilitation, among others.
