The Medical City Clinic strengthens access to specialized laboratory tests across VisMin
The Medical City Clinic has expanded its send-out laboratory services to Palawan and Cebu, enabling more patients in the Visayas and Mindanao to access advanced diagnostic testing closer to home without traveling to Metro Manila.
Patients in Visayas and Mindanao can now access more advanced diagnostic testing closer to home, as The Medical City Clinic (TMC Clinic) expands its send-out laboratory services to Palawan and Cebu.
Following its initial rollout in Iloilo, Roxas, and Cagayan de Oro in November 2025, the expansion allows more patients to undergo specialized laboratory tests without the need to travel to Metro Manila.
Access to over 100 specialized diagnostic tests
Through this initiative, TMC Clinic now offers access to over 100 specialized diagnostic tests that are not commonly available in many local facilities. These include tests for autoimmune diseases, thyroid disorders, cardiac conditions, and certain blood-related illnesses.
Patient samples are collected at The Medical City Clinic and carefully handled as part of the send‑out laboratory testing process.
Among these are ANA (Antinuclear Antibody) for autoimmune screening, Anti-dsDNA for lupus diagnosis, NT-proBNP for assessing heart failure, as well as TSH IRMA and TRAb for evaluating thyroid function and autoimmune thyroid conditions. The JAK2 Mutation Test is also available to help diagnose certain blood and bone marrow disorders.
Tested and processed in advanced laboratories
Patient samples are collected at TMC Clinic branches and transported following strict handling protocols. All tests are processed at TMC Clinic’s Central Laboratory and The Medical City Ortigas, ensuring consistent quality standards across the network.

The Medical City Clinic’s send-out laboratory services are now available at SM City Iloilo, SM City Roxas, SM CDO Downtown, Robinsons Palawan, Ayala Malls Central Bloc Cebu, and SM Hypermarket Lapu-Lapu. Patients may contact their nearest branch for inquiries and special laboratory test requests.
