The Medical City Opens Pediatric Multispecialty Wellness Clinic

The Medical City has opened the Pediatric Multispecialty Wellness Clinic, a clinic that brings together various specialties and subspecialties to provide the highest quality of care to its pediatric patients.

Present during the clinic’s formal opening held on May 22, 2014 were Virginia B. Alano, Senior Vice President (SVP) for Patient Services Group; Dr. Eugenio Jose F. Ramos, SVP for Medical Services Group; Dr. Blesilda E. Concepcion, Vice President for Professional Staff Development Office; Dr. Rolando Balburias, Center for Wellness and Aesthetics director and doctors from the Department of Pediatrics led by its chairman Dr. Delfin Santos, TMC managers and staff, and other guests.

According to Dr. Agnes Alarilla-Alba, head of the Department of Pediatrics Subspecialty Section, the Pediatric Multispecialty Wellness Clinic was conceptualized to address the increasing demands of subspecialty consults needed by pedia patients or patients from 0 to 18 years old.

Currently there are 26 sub-specialists at TMC Medical Arts Tower which will be complemented by 15 more doctors in the fields of cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology, developmental pediatrics, hematology, adolescent endocrinology and pediatric surgery.

The Clinic showcases all the specialists and subspecialists of the Pediatrics department. It seeks to address patient needs at the same time help General Pediatricians in need of the expertise of subspecialties.

“The Pediatric Multispecialty Wellness Clinic is a concrete expression of The Medical City’s service philosophy of putting patients in center stage, doing away with our own interests and coming together for the benefit of our patient partners,” says Dr. Concepcion.

The Clinic aims to provide a “one-stop hub” for pediatric health care. It has within its complex a laboratory, a gym and a nutrition center to complement the wholistic care for children.
