A Fund-raising Art Exhibit for Liver Transplant Candidates

The Medical City’s Center for Liver Disease Management and Transplantation (CLDMT) is holding its second fund-raising art exhibit for its liver transplant patients from September 24 to 29, 2012 at the TMC lobby.

Dubbed “Art for Liver,” the exhibit features artwork of some of the country’s budding talents in visual arts. All proceeds will go directly to the Liver Fund of the Philippine Foundation for Health and Development, Inc. This fund will help finance the treatment and medical expenses of liver transplant candidates.

In December 2010, TMC-CLDMT held “Art for Erica” to raise funds for the liver transplant of its patient Erica Buenaventura. Erica underwent the first successful pediatric liver transplantation in the country performed by The Medical City team on January 7, 2011.

This year’s art exhibit is in celebration of Liver Week 2012. You can browse the entire collection here:

All featured pieces of art cannot be purchased online. The paintings and photographs are up on display at the TMC lobby from September 24 to 29, 2012 and posted on this website until December 31, 2012. In the event that a piece has already been purchased, it will be marked as “SOLD”.

From September 30, 2012 onwards, the paintings will then be available for viewing by interested parties at the CLMDT, 2nd floor, Main Nursing Tower, The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City.
