Congratulations, Dr. Paolo S. Silva!

The Medical City congratulates Dr. Paolo S. Silva (Consultant, Department of Ophthalmology) for being named as one of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of 2013 by the Junior Chamber International-Philippines and the TOYM Foundation.

President Benigno S. Aquino III led the awarding held on December 19, 2013.

"Dr. Silva has put his expertise to good use in establishing the first telemedicine program for diabetic eye disease in the Philippines, and in guiding the use of cutting-edge treatments for retinal diseases, reducing the cost of treatment by over twentyfold, and making it more readily available to patients," said President Aquino in his speech.

The Medical City is truly proud of Dr. Silva's achievement.
