Global Port Batang Pier Cagers visit The Medical City

Three Global Port Batang Pier cagers visited The Medical City last Friday, July 19, 2013, not for a basketball exhibition game but for an Origami and story telling session with the hospital's pediatric patients. Origami refers to the Japanese art of paper folding. The three PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) players who gladly joined the kids in making origami cranes and balls were Alex Crisano, Willie Miller, and JR Buensuseco. After the origami session, the three players took turns in reading the story titled "Ang Batang Maraming Bawal" by Fernando Rosal Gonzalez. The story is a simple tale of hope and imagination of a boy who is always in the hospital because of a lingering illness. The Origami session which primarily aimed to inspire and give hope to pediatric patients of The Medical City was organized by the  Customer Relations Department.
