Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a branch of medicine which aims to restore a person to the fullest physical, psychological, social, vocational and educational potential consistent with his or her physiological or anatomic impairment and environmental limitations. It also aims to obtain optimal function despite residual disability, even if the impairment is caused by an illness that cannot be reversed.

  • Neurological diseases (i.e. stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease,  multiple sclerosis)
  • Musculo Skeletal diseases (i.e. low back pain, slipped disc,  arthritis,  osteoporosis,  scoliosis,  muscle sprain)
  • Pulmonary diseases (i.e. pneumonia, chronic bronchitis,  emphysema)
  • Pediatric diseases (i.e. cerebral palsy,  motor delay)
  • Geriatric diseases (i.e. deconditioning syndrome, dementia)
