The Medical City Holds Largest Reunion to Break World Record

On April 12, four record attempts will take place in Market! Market! in Taguig City. TMC kicks it off with an attempt to set a new record for the largest reunion of people born in the same hospital. HISTORY and its partners, Shakey’s, Center for Culinary Arts and OraCare are spearheading the three other activities that also aim to break world records. The first two record-breaking events will take place on April 8 and 11, 2015 with Ropali Motorcycles.

The TMC’S largest reunion is open to anyone born in The Medical City. The current record to beat was achieved on October 9, 2011 by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in Hong Kong with a total count that stands at 958 participants. The TMC event is open to the public. In order to be counted, each participant must present a photocopy of his or her birth certificate, along with appropriate documentation if the name has been changed. Participants may bring their family or friends to enjoy the fair but will not be eligible for the count unless they are born in The Medical City and have brought the requirements.

“Together with our partners, we are breaking not just one but six world records in one week. This feat would not be possible without the support of our partners who are just as keen to strengthen the Philippine’s presence in the world records map,” says Jacque M. Ruby, A+E Networks Asia’s Country Head. A+E Networks is an American media company that owns a group of television channels available via cable and satellite including HISTORY channel.
