Would you know someone who may be engaged in activities that may lead to getting an HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) infection? Help us so we can help them. Tell them about I-REACT.

I-REACT stands for I Am Responsible thru Early Assessment, Consultation and Treatment.

We do HIV testing. It's a simple blood test but it can only be done with your consent. The process is simple and discreet. The results are confidential and will be released only to you.

We do counseling for risk reduction. You may not know it but some of the things you do may be harmful to you or may expose you to situations which may cause harm. We can identify and clarify these for you.

We diagnose opportunistic infections. Some people don't know they have HIV until their immune system becomes so devastated that they get infections which people with a stronger immune system don't ever get. These are called “opportunistic infections.”

We help you overcome fears, anxiety and depression over the diagnosis of HIV through our referral to specialties like Psychiatry and other relevant support mechanisms. We can also set up meetings with your family or your partner as you request.

We can measure your immune strength through a test called the CD4 count. The CD4 cells have unique roles in our immune system. HIV destroys CD4 cells until your capacity to fight infections becomes very weak. Measuring CD4 is an important part of HIV care.

We have a referral system which will help us care for you in a holistic manner. This will include your nutrition, your eyesight, your skin health, your mental health, and other special needs.

We can provide you with the HIV medicines called “anti-retroviral drugs” or ARVs. At present, our national government provides these drugs free of charge.

We will monitor you closely so that you regain back your immune strength and get your CD4 count (markers for the body’s ability to detect infection) as close to normal as possible.

We can do HIV viral load in our own laboratory. This measures the number of HIV particles in your blood.

We can answer all your questions about HIV and AIDS.
