Admission Process
& Guidelines

  1. Room and board charges are based on the time of your admission

    • Cut off time is only applicable to those admitted with a minimum of 24 hours.
    • If admission is less than 24 hours, 100% room & board equivalent to one day is charged.
  2. Requests for room transfer or change of room type shall be facilitated by the Admission and Allied Services Department (AAS) upon admission or in all General Nursing Unit Floors for currently admitted patients

    Regardless of the time the transfer is made, room and board charges are computed as follows:

    • 50% of the room rate to be vacated; and
    • 50% of the new room rate to be occupied.
  3. The room of a patient who has been transferred to the ICU can be occupied by the relatives for the 1st 24 hours upon patient's transfer to ICU, at current room & board rate. In excess of 24 hours, a special accommodation rate is offered subject to the room availability.
  4. Alcoholic beverages, as well as personal appliances (e.g., radios, TV's, electric kettle, oven toaster) and furniture (e.g., foam, mats, chairs, folding beds) are strictly prohibited in patients' rooms and public waiting areas. Persons under the influence of alcohol are prohibited from entering the hospital premises.
  5. Hospital charges are based on the room classification occupied by the patient.

Things to bring on your admission day

  1. Required documents, identification cards, and discount cards:
    • Letter of Authorization (for HMO/ Company patients)
    • Physician's Admitting Order Sheet
    • Results of diagnostic procedures
    • Identification Card (i.e., HMO, Company or Voter's ID, Driver's License)
    • Discount Cards [i.e., Senior Citizen Discount; PWD Card; TMC Community Card (International/Local)]
  2. You only need to bring a few personal items for your hospital stay. These might include toiletries, a robe and non-skid slippers, night clothes, and reading material. Hospital gowns will be provided if you choose to wear one.

What NOT to bring on your admission and hospital stay

  1. Medicines
  2. Large amounts of cash, jewelry, and other valuables. In unavoidable cases, you may request for your valuables to be stored in the hospital's vault for free.
  3. Personal electrical appliances (e.g., water heater, hair dryer, or flat iron) and furniture (e.g., foam, mats, chair, or folding bed).
  4. Any alcoholic beverages

REMINDERS:

  1.  The room will be assigned on the day of admission.
  2.  On the day of your admission, please call the Admitting Office three (3) hours before your actual arrival to confirm or make necessary adjustments on your admission.
  3.  Parking Fees (24-hour parking slip is available at the Admitting Office and Information Desk)
  4.  Submit the following signed documents via email prior to admission:
    • Data Privacy Form
    • Consent for Admission
