SAFETY AND SECURITY FEATURES

The hospital complex is equipped with state-of-the-art safety and security features for the protection of the hospital clients and staff.

An advanced Building Management System (BMS) incorporates life safety features, which are activated in cases of fire, earthquake, or other calamities.

Should a fire break out, fire-rated doors automatically shut off certain areas to prevent the spread of smoke and fire.

  • Sealed areas of refuge that are smoke- and fire-proof are made available for non-ambulant patients pending their rescue, using a pressurized protected elevator.
  • Massive fans push fresh air into the stairwells, preventing smoke from entering the main means of egress, thereby allowing safe exit.
  • Zoned sprinkler systems installed on every floor contain the spread of fire, while preventing unwarranted water damage of non-affected areas.

Our buildings' structural design is 200% above the Philippine Code and can withstand even the most severe natural or man-made disasters such as fires and earthquakes. Back-up generators with a 5-day fuel reserve enable continued operation of all systems in the event of power interruptions.

Bio-safety features incorporated into the hospital complex include the following:

  • Positive/negative pressure zoning eliminates contaminated air from the building.
  • All operating rooms employ laminar flow and HEPA filtration systems that preserve the sterility of these sensitive units.
  • Level 5 anti-bacterial paint has been used as an added protection in all sterile areas.
