The Alfredo R.A. Bengzon Patient Access Ward is a 51-bed shared facility that provides affordable, high-quality hospital care through accessible ward accommodations and comprehensive patient services.
The Alfredo R.A. Bengzon Patient Access Ward (Patient Access Ward) at The Medical City was established to make quality healthcare more accessible to patients without compromising standard of care.
Located on the 10th floor, the Patient Access Ward is a 51-bed shared facility designed to deliver a wide range of patient needs. Organized into dedicated sections, the Patient Access Ward includes a Mother-Baby Friendly Ward, surgical wards for male and female patients, pediatric wards, medical wards for male and female patients, and a special care section for patients who may require additional precautions, ensuring that every patient is treated with utmost care.
Who can be admitted
Admission to the Ward is available to all patients assessed by their attending physician as clinically suited for ward-type and semi-private accommodations. This option is best suited for individuals who do not require critical care and those without infectious or communicable diseases.
Admission fees
The Patient Access Ward is offered at a minimal rate, extending hospital care access to more patients and families.
Room rates are as follows:
Standard Ward: ₱1,450
Mother-Baby Friendly Ward: ₱1,800
Integrated Care Section (Female): ₱2,050
Rates only cover room and board, and excludes professional fees, diagnostic procedures, medications, and other services.
Patients may benefit from PhilHealth packages, such as the CABG Z Benefits and Emergency Heart Attack Benefit Package, which can help cover a portion of hospital expenses depending on the case. Government-mandated discounts for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities are also applied.
Admission process
Admission to the Patient Access Ward follows the standard hospital process.
Patients or their companions are advised to coordinate with the Admissions and Bed Management Department at least three hours before the planned admission time.
Upon arrival, patients must proceed to the Admissions area at the Ground Floor and present the required documents. If medically eligible, and beds are available, patients may choose to be admitted to the Patient Access Ward.
