The Medical City illuminates in pink, joins nationwide call for breast cancer awareness

The Medical City marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a series of activities promoting early detection, community involvement, and meaningful support for breast cancer patients.

Pasig City, Philippines – The Medical City (TMC) joins the Philippine College of Surgeons' annual Pink Lighting Ceremony this October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reaffirming its support for breast cancer awareness, early detection, and patient care.

Beyond the symbolic lighting ceremony, TMC is organizing a series of activities throughout the month to encourage community participation and extend support to breast cancer patients.

Happening throughout October, the Share A Hair program invites individuals to donate 12 to 14 inches of hair to help create wigs for breast cancer patients. Meanwhile, Segunda Mammo, running from October 3 to 17, encourages donations of pre-loved items to benefit patients undergoing their cancer journey.

Alongside these events, TMC will also offer free breast screening and physical examinations from October 15 to 17 to pre-registered participants.

Through these initiatives, The Medical City hopes to bring communities together in raising awareness, encouraging proactive breast health practices, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of breast cancer patients.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TMC reminds everyone that supporting the fight against breast cancer goes beyond wearing pink. It begins with awareness, action, and compassion.
